2 day expedition 4/7/12

This expedition was a two day expedition consisting of a 9km walk from Faversham to a campsite in Seasalter, during this walk we looked at the history of Britain's defences. After camping overnight we woke up at 7AM and made our breakfast before packing up the camping equipment and walking 7.5km to Herne Bay. Along this walk we found many things such as Dragons Teeth and original Railings from the second world war.
the camp site we stayed at was very well equipped with a toilet and shower block and club house that could provide entertainment food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
During the walk we past many active sites in WW1 and WW2 such as an air field and Dragons Teeth and the sit of the last fight on British soil. the area where the last battle commenced was outside the Sportsman Public House.
This expedition was a success with some minor problems that were encountered such as people obtaining small injuries such as cuts and blisters, one of the people who obtained a blister couldn't walk on it so Mr Toomey was sent to collect the mini bus before coming to collect the student to allow us to continue with the expedition, this could have been a different story if we had taken the train to Faversham if we had taken the train the student would have had to have walked further and could have got seriously hurt instead of just a blister. During the night we walked into Whistable to explore what the town had to offer before returning back to the campsite. In the morning we were supposed to cook the breakfast we had brought with us, some people didn't bring sufficient breakfast so during the next leg of the expedition were complaining of hunger and thirst this could have been avoided by having a set breakfast list so the student knew what to bring with them. Some of the lessons learnt on this expedition was make sure you have emergency travel solutions and the correct knowledge to put the tent up and take it back down when you are finished with it.
